Pastor John Visser
Senior Pastor
John Visser is the Senior Pastor of Marantha. In addition to his various pastoral duties, he carries on an extensive counseling ministry, designed to help people discover and live out the freedom of life in Christ. He and his wife, Michelle have four children and six grandchildren.
Dave Botting
Associate Pastor
Dave Botting is the Assistant Pastor at Maranatha. Formerly a newspaper journalist, he has been working for the church since 1993, preaching, counseling and helping to develop ministries and leadership. Part of his role is to assist Pastor Visser, Staff and Council in developing policies and setting the overall direction of Maranatha.
John Roeper
Director of Worship
John Roeper has been a lifelong member of Maranatha. Born in Belleville, and baptized at Maranatha. John began leading worship as part of a praise team in 1989, and has been Director of Worship since June of 2003. John is also involved with Senior High Youth ministry.
Valerie Peters
Director of Discipleship
As well as developing and teaching the core discipleship program at Maranatha, Valerie Peters is involved in the development of Small Group Ministry and the building and maintaining the Welcome Team that connects visitors and new believers to the life of the church. Currently working on the building of a Pastoral Care Team that will provide Pastoral care across the church, Valerie’s passion is not only to see people come to know Jesus as Savior but also to help them grow to maturity, discover their gifts and take their place in the life of the churc

Juliet deWal
Director of Restoration Ministries
In addition to her work with Senior High Youth, Juliet serves as Director of Restoration Ministries at Maranatha. She works one-on-one with individuals in their healing journey, as well as with existing ministries as they seek to provide safe community for those walking through healing issues. Juliet also heads up Maranatha's Multimedia ministry, which includes Video Production, Graphic Arts and Internet Ministries.
Virginia Brak
Director of Children's Ministries
Virginia has been involved in children's ministry since becoming a member of the Maranatha community in 1997. With her background in Early Childhood Education, she brought a new face to the two and three-year-old program, starting up theBusy Bees Funshop. In the summer of 2004, Virginia was asked on board to work with the direction of Kids Up!, Maranatha's children's ministry, covering infants up to Grade five.
Willy VanHuizen
Friendship Circle
Willy VanHuizen has been a member of Maranatha Church since 1974. She was part of the original team that began the Friendship Circle Ministry at Maranatha in 1982, and has been its Director ever since. Her enduring commitment for this ministry comes, in part, from the blessing she has experienced as God's love flows freely at the weekly Friendship meetings.
